MONIKA MYERS

Monika Myers’ story is one of inspiration, inclusion and authenticity. Her career began at the age of 14 when she became Canada’s first professional runway model with Down syndrome and quickly established herself as an internationally recognized model, appearing in leading publications and walking the runway at fashion weeks including Toronto, New York and Paris.

Monika expanded her talents into film with her feature debut as Lady Diana in Reminders of Him, the Universal Pictures adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. Her performance earned widespread praise from critics, with reviews describing her as having “terrific comedic timing” and noting that she “steals almost every scene she appears in”.

As a sought after motivational speaker, Monika also has delivered the keynote address for the United Nations World Down Syndrome Day conference in Trinidad and Tobago and served as emcee for the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital’s Gala event.

Through her initiative “I AM BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL,” she encourages others to believe in themselves, embrace their uniqueness, and pursue their dreams. As an advocate for inclusion, Monika is an inspiration to many globally, demonstrating that talent, determination and dreams know no boundaries.
